Interesting. The Sigma 18-50mm 2.8 makes your person or object look taller if someone wants to look taller vs the primes but the primes look so much sharper aswell.

Do you really have to curse while making a video, like a thug. Have some class, jeez, young people watch these videos. The 16mm is a vlogging lens, not a portrait lens. Learn something about photography. The 16mm has sold the most of the three Sigma lenses.

Nice, compact and informative video. Thanks a lot!! I'm a novice photographer and doing mainly street and travel photography so I was wondering how big the difference was between these lenses. For my case of use, I thing I'll go with the Sigma 18-50, yes I'm loosing some background blur but I think I can live with that. Also, since I'll be mainly using while traveling or walking, I think light packing and versatility its primordial so it should be better like that

Loved my GR III.......................until I dropped it. The lens housing just disintegrated. Have been told it will have to go to Ricoh in Japan to be repaired and its probably not worth the expense. Very disappointed.

I assume the sharpness difference is caused by your software. It's known, that Fuji pictures doesn't look good in Adobe e.g. the Fuji Software ONE (something) should be used.

I have a GR IIIx and a Fuji X-E3 with the 27mm f2.8, so the field of view and widest aperture are the identical with the two. From my test shots, sharpness is equivalent. However, the Ricoh tends to be noisier, particularly at ISO 1000 and higher. I've tried adjusting the NR settings but still the Fuji images have less noise, which can have the effect of making an image less murky/blurry. Wondering if you have low-light shots to compare the two.

Your videos like this really helped me pull the trigger on my setup. I went from an old Canon to a used Sony a6600 with the Sigma 56 1.4 and i am SO GLAD i made the switch. Love it. Really shakey with video and you got to stand a bit far away but thats a small price to pay for what the image provides. Thanks mate
